Firstly, I should say that I’ve been a big Superdry fan for over 10 years and love their stuff which I have found to be hard wearing and practical, whilst being fashionable and reasonably priced.
However, I recently purchased some parachute, cargo shorts; something I have repeatably bought over the last 5 years with a couple of pairs on the go and 3 unused pairs in the closet.
I was surprised to find these have been downgraded significantly in their quality of manufacture this year with no draw string on the legs, no strengthened waist band inside, no piped outside pocket edge to stop wear and the cargo pockets aren’t even sewn onto an extra, thicker layer of material.
I shall be wearing these cheaper ones next and saving my older pairs now you can’t get them in this quality any more.
I realise this is a long winded (and long whinging) complaint. However, having been with them for so long, I feel personally disappointed that Superdry is quite literally cheapening its products. A sad day.
